Job description

Position Responsibilities: Provide full life-cycle support to AWS Data Centers from design

through construction and operation stages. Act as the ‘go to’ engineering resource for the

region when technical advice is needed and will use subject matter expertise in Building

Information Modeling (BIM) Engineering to:· Work with a team of multi-disciplinary

professionals on a wide variety of conceptual design, build, and retrofit projects at existing data

center. Review and release each discipline 3D BIM models. Drive refinements to the Basis

of Design, product development, sustainability, and template specifications for BIM systems

to support continuous improvement of future data center designs. Serve as a technical advisor

for projects including; review of BIM models and workflows. Create, review and release BIM

design RFPs. Manage external design consultants through the audit, design and

implementation of a variety of projects while coordinating with internal engineering,

construction and other stakeholder teams. Lead initiatives aimed at improving quality,

schedule, consistency or reducing costs to in-flight and future data center construction and

improvement projects. Work on multiple data center build and capital improvement projects

simultaneously without compromising safety and availability constraints. Up to 50% domestic

Requirements

Position Requirements: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering or

Construction or a related field and one year of experience in the job offered or related

occupation. Employer will also accept Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in

Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related field and five years of experience in the job

offered or related occupation. Must have 1 year of experience in the following skills:

design/construction experience, Revit, working with Navisworks. Experience in the establishment

and management of BIM & VDC models including orientation, geo-positioning, coordination and

the set-up of model reviews. Experience directly related to Data Center design and construction.

Experience and knowledge applying Lean principles to design modeling and drawing production.

Experience exporting of embedded data and schedules from BIM models to spreadsheets.

Experience with the following software tools: AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Dynamo, RF Tools, CTC Tools,

ACC and Procore.

Benefits & conditions

40 hours/week, 8:00am - 5:00pm, Salary Range $122,138 - $160,000, The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
