Infrastructure Engineer (Part-Time) - Service Provider - Dungannon (On-Site 2 Days Per Week) - £400-£500 Per Day (Outside IR35)

Overview

We are supporting an established service provider in Northern Ireland who are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer for an initial 8-month contract engagement.

This is a part-time role requiring 2 days per week on-site in Dungannon, with occasional travel to additional sites as required. The position is outside IR35 and offers a strong day rate, providing an excellent opportunity for a contractor seeking flexibility alongside attractive earnings.

The successful candidate will play a key role in managing and maintaining a Dell-centric enterprise infrastructure estate, ensuring stability, performance, and ongoing patching across server and storage environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Dell enterprise server infrastructure across multiple sites
• Administer and support Dell PowerStore SAN and Dell VxRail environments
• Maintain and optimise VMware virtualised infrastructure
• Support hosted Windows and Linux server estates
• Perform regular patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management activities
• Monitor infrastructure performance, capacity, and availability
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues
• Support infrastructure improvement and resilience initiatives

Skills & Experience

• Proven hands-on experience supporting Dell enterprise infrastructure environments
• Strong knowledge of Dell Servers, Dell PowerStore SAN, and Dell VxRail
• Experience managing both Windows and Linux servers
• Demonstrable experience performing infrastructure patching and maintenance
• Comfortable working independently in a part-time, on-site capacity
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• 2 days per week on-site (Dungannon)
