Job description

While building the best value for our customers, you will work with a wide range of technical challenges. Such as building distributed systems that need to operate 24/7 and ultra-low latencies, solving UI/UX problems to help fraud analysts to fight fraud more efficiently. In addition, designing extensive databases from relational, NoSQL and graphs, validate and develop new data science techniques and algorithms., Our Platform Engineering team champions Feedzai’s DevOps-centric vision, supporting the entire product development lifecycle-from design and testing to deployment, operations, and maintenance. As a Senior Engineer, you will drive the creation of high-scale automation, sophisticated tooling, and foundational platforms for Feedzai’s Internal Developer Platform (IDP). Your work will directly accelerate product velocity and enable a faster, more nimble delivery ecosystem.

Your Day To Day

  • Architecture & Innovation: Architect, scale, and maintain enterprise-grade CI/CD solutions and infrastructure, actively driving strategic initiatives to optimize and modernize the developer experience.
  • Core Development: Lead the development of critical automation, tooling, and internal platforms utilizing Go or Bash.
  • Technical Leadership: Act as a subject matter expert and mentor to other platform engineers, establishing engineering best practices, robust documentation, and clean code standards.
  • Incident Ownership: Lead root-cause investigations, complex incident responses, and post-mortem resolutions for core platform products, implementing long-term preventative engineering solutions.

Requirements

  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
  • Experience: 5+ years of professional engineering experience, featuring a proven track record of designing internal developer platforms or build systems.
  • Advanced Programming: Strong software engineering fundamentals paired with deep, hands-on programming skills in Java, Go, Python, or Bash.
  • Orchestration Mastery: Extensive production experience managing complex, containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes at scale.
  • CI/CD Expertise: A deep understanding of the inner workings, security, and scalability of modern CI/CD tools and deployment strategies. Familiarity with GitOps workflows and principles is highly preferred to support declarative infrastructure and automation.
  • Mindset: Highly self-driven, analytical, and motivated, with a genuine passion for systemic problem-solving and reducing developer friction.

Preferred Qualifications And Skills

  • AI Integration: Experience leveraging or integrating Generative AI (GenAI) tools to optimize developer workflows is a strong plus.
  • Cloud & Certifications: Previous experience with AWS (or other major cloud providers), and relevant Kubernetes or Cloud certifications.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical architectures to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

The Product Team builds our product to disrupt the financial crime industry from a data-led approach. We partner with our clients using a holistic lens and have result-driven solutions to manage financial risk with a cloud-first platform and a world-class UX interface. Being part of this team, you have a voice in planning, strategizing, and challenging the status quo. Your thoughts and ideas are valued. Our fast-paced and open environment encourages us to lean in, try new things, and discover our potential. We define and act on what could be in tomorrow’s world, not on what is today. Join Us!
