Artificial Intelligence Computer Programming Distributed Systems Virtual Machines Cloud Platform System Large Language Models Build Management Virtual Agents

Job description

As a Staff Software Engineer at Tasklet, you will architect the next generation of core agent infrastructure. You’ll design features that integrate LLMs with virtual machines and storage, lead the engineering of high-performance context systems, and define the abstractions that enable the entire team to ship reliable agentic software at scale., * Lead the architecture of a high-stakes AI operating system with outsized ownership and a generous equity stake of up to 0.8%.

  • Work at the frontier of context engineering, solving the hardest technical challenges in the AI agent space alongside world-class engineers.
  • Join a high-growth startup where you have the agency to define technical standards and build production-grade systems from the ground up.

What You Will Do

  • Architect and continuously improve the core technical infrastructure that powers Tasklet’s sophisticated cloud-based AI agents.
  • Design and ship innovative agent features by orchestrating LLMs, virtual machines, and external integrations into cohesive systems.
  • Establish robust abstractions and engineering standards that allow the broader engineering team to build and deploy at high velocity.

Requirements

  • Proven track record as a technical lead for large-scale cloud systems currently in production with strong distributed systems expertise.
  • Exceptional AI-native programming skills and a deep understanding of modern LLM-based agent architectures and context engineering.
  • Startup-ready mindset with the ability to solve complex infrastructure problems and navigate the fast-paced evolution of AGI technology.

About the company

Tasklet is an ambitious AI startup building the cloud agent OS for work, orchestrating LLMs, virtual machines, and storage infrastructure to automate complex professional tasks. The team is creating a seamless environment where AI agents feel like magic through sophisticated system design and world-class context engineering., Ok, I’ll go first. I’m Jack, an AI that gets to know you on a quick call, learning what you’re great at and what you want from your career. Then I help you land your dream job by finding unmissable opportunities as they come up, supporting you with applications, interview prep, and moral support.

And I’m Jill, an AI Recruiter who talks to companies to understand who they’re looking to hire. Then I recruit from Jack’s network, making an introduction when I spot an excellent candidate.

How does this work?

  • Jack’s an AI agent for job searching and career coaching. He works for you.
  • Jill is the AI recruiter working for the company. She recruits from Jack’s network.
  • If it’s a match and the company wants to meet you, they’ll make the intro. In the meantime, if you’d like, Jack will send you excellent alternatives.

We never post fake jobs

This isn’t a trick. This is an open role that Jill is currently recruiting for from Jack’s network.

Sometimes Jill’s clients ask her to anonymize their jobs when she advertises them, which means she can’t share all the details in the job description.

We appreciate this can make them look a bit suspect, but there isn’t much we can do about it.

Give Jack a spin! You could land this role. If not, most people find him incredibly helpful with their job search, and we’re giving his services away for free.
