Job description

As a Systems Engineer III, Test Engineering, you will play a crucial role in the verification and validation of complex systems. You will be responsible for developing and executing test plans, analyzing test data, and ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. This role requires a strong foundation in systems engineering principles and a passion for hands-on testing., * Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules for system-level verification and validation.

  • Design, build, and maintain test facilities, equipment, and software.
  • Analyze test data to identify trends, anomalies, and root causes of failures.
  • Collaborate with design and systems engineers to ensure that requirements are verifiable and that test plans provide complete coverage.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues found during testing.
  • Prepare and present test reports to internal and external customers.
  • Automate test procedures to improve efficiency and repeatability.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide feedback on system design to improve testability., Applicants for employment at Blue Origin must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e. current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S.as a refugee or granted asylum.

  • Required for Certain Job Profiles: Drivers who operate Commercial Motor Vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or combination of power unit and trailer that meets or exceeds 10,001 lbs. and/or transports placardable amounts of hazardous materials by ground in any vehicle on a public road while in commerce, may be subject to additional Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including: Driver Qualification Files, Medical Certification (obtained before onboarding), Road Test, Hours of Service, Drug and Alcohol Testing, vehicle inspection requirements, CDL requirements (if applicable) and hazardous materials transportation/shipping training.
  • Required for certain Job Profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in a test engineering or systems engineering role.
  • Proven experience with the development and execution of test plans and procedures.
  • Strong understanding of systems engineering principles, including requirements analysis, verification, and validation.
  • Experience with data acquisition and analysis tools (e.g., LabVIEW, MATLAB, Python).
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum., * Master of Science in a related technical discipline.
  • Experience with the testing of complex integrated systems, such as launch vehicles, spacecraft, or aircraft.
  • Knowledge of environmental testing (e.g., vibration, shock, thermal, vacuum).
  • Experience with automated testing and test script development.
  • Familiarity with industry standards for testing and qualification.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills.

Base Pay Range for: WA applicants is $121,023.00 - $169,432.20, * Benefits include: Medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance, paid parental leave, short and long-term disability, 401(k) with a company match of up to 5%, and an Education Support Program.

  • Stock Options for all regular employees (working at least 20 hours/week)
  • Paid Time Off: Up to four (4) weeks per year based on weekly scheduled hours, and up to 14 company-paid holidays.
