2nd Line Desktop Engineer

A leading business based in Durham is seeking a skilled 2nd Line Desktop Engineer to join their IT team. The ideal candidate will handle 1st and 2nd line desktop support issues and contribute to various ongoing IT projects., * Provide 1st and 2nd line desktop support to end-users.

• Assist in the installation, configuration, and support of Windows operating systems (Windows 10 and Windows 11) on laptops.
• O365 support and user admin
• Troubleshoot and resolve desktop operating system issues on laptops.
• Swap out machines and address any ongoing technical issues for users.
• Contribute to the rollout of Windows operating systems
• Hardware support, Printers, laptops etc.

• Proven experience in desktop support, particularly 2nd line support.
• Strong knowledge of Windows 10 or Windows 11 operating systems.
• Experience with Windows 10 rollout projects is acceptable; experience with Windows 11 is a plus.
• Proficiency in installing, configuring, and supporting Windows operating systems on laptops.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills for desktop operating system issues.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with users.
• Proven experience in hardware support/break-fix
