Job description

Cloud Security Engineer

Location: Manchester

Role Type: Permanent

Work Setup: Hybrid

What you’ll do:

Design and evolve cloud-native cybersecurity platforms across every layer of the stack, from the database through to the CDN
Implement advanced authentication with MFA, passkeys, and zero-trust principles and develop defenses against account takeover and fraud
Integrate with leading identity providers (Auth0, Transmit, Ping)
Optimize cloud systems for performance, resilience, and efficiency
Partner with Product owner to deliver strategic, technically sound solutions
Drive technical excellence through standards, tooling, and ownership of deployments and operations from development through production

What you bring:

Strong cloud expertise, preferably AWS, with IaC using CloudFormation, CDK, and Terraform
Solid REST API knowledge and cloud security fundamentals (IAM, networking, encryption)
Excellent communicator, able to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders
Knowledge of agile methodologies, with Scrum experience preferred
Continuous learner with a growth mindset
