Job description
We are seeking a senior cloud architect to join our team building cloud services to support the UK’s most pressing and interesting security challenges. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of either Amazon Web Services, Azure, or GCP, experience in large-scale cloud migrations, and proficiency in working with customers to understand and solve their cloud and security challenges.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver cloud environments to address customers’ challenges.
- Work across a range of greenfield and brownfield projects.
- Deliver technical excellence whilst making pragmatic engineering trade-offs.
- Lead architectural discussions and design exercises.
- Develop, observe and critique cloud security practices.
- Build deep customer relationships in their environment; drive discussions with their technical and operational teams.
- Work with customers and other suppliers to gather and shape requirements.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading large Amazon Web Services implementations or migrations in high-security environments.
- Hands-on expertise in designing and building cloud computing environments running critical workloads.
- Strong presentation and knowledge-sharing skills with the ability to work effectively across internal and external organisations.
- Able to build relationships with customers, influence their roadmap and challenge established thinking when needed.
- Consulting skills to solve customer problems, and the ability to manage ambiguity.
- Team leadership.
- UK national.
- AWS certification at associate level or above.
