Job title: Senior Systems EngineerLocation ScotlandWe’re working with an innovative space company developing next-generation launch technology, who are looking to add a Senior Avionics Systems Engineer to their growing engineering team.This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in the development of an orbital-class launch system, taking ownership of onboard avionics systems across the full engineering lifecycle.The RoleYou’ll act as a technical focal point across avionics and wider vehicle systems, working closely with systems engineering, GNC, propulsion, software, and ground support teams to deliver highly reliable flight hardware for a complex aerospace platform.Responsibilities will include:Leading avionics system design and integration activitiesDefining interfaces between onboard electronics, vehicle subsystems, and ground systemsSupporting system architecture, requirements definition, and verification activitiesManaging technical schedules, development priorities, and

engineering coordinationContributing to hardware/software trade studies and technical decision-makingSupporting testing, troubleshooting, installation, and validation of electronic systemsWorking cross-functionally across multidisciplinary engineering teamsWhat They’re Looking ForDegree qualified in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar5+ years of experience within avionics, embedded systems, electronics, or complex systems engineeringStrong background in integration, testing, or development of electronic systemsExperience working within high-reliability industries such as space, aerospace, defence, automotive, or similarUnderstanding of systems engineering principles, interfaces, and V&V activitiesPrevious technical leadership or project ownership experienceHands-on mindset with the ability to troubleshoot and support hardware integration activitiesStrong communication skills and ability to work across multidisciplinary teams
