Job description
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Advanced SQL Developer / Data Engineer with strong expertise in SQL, Business Intelligence (BI) tools, Python, Snowflake, and Database Management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, optimizing, and maintaining enterprise data solutions, data pipelines, reporting dashboards, and database systems to support business decision-making and analytics initiatives. Key Responsibilities SQL Development & Optimization
- Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views.
- Optimize database performance through query tuning and indexing strategies.
- Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL/ELT) activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues and performance bottlenecks.
Snowflake Data Warehouse Management
- Design and manage Snowflake data warehouse environments.
- Develop and optimize Snowflake data models, schemas, and database objects.
- Implement data loading, transformation, and orchestration processes.
- Monitor Snowflake usage, performance, and cost optimization.
Python Development
- Develop Python scripts and automation solutions for data processing and reporting.
- Build scalable ETL pipelines using Python.
- Perform data analysis, cleansing, validation, and transformation.
- Integrate data from multiple sources using APIs and Python-based frameworks.
Business Intelligence & Reporting

Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using BI tools such as:
- Power BI
- Tableau
- Qlik Sense/View
- Looker (preferred)
- Gather reporting requirements from stakeholders and translate them into actionable analytics solutions.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across reporting platforms.
Database Administration & Management
- Manage and maintain relational databases including SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
- Implement backup, recovery, security, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Monitor database health and ensure optimal system performance.
- Establish data governance and data quality standards.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Work closely with business teams, analysts, architects, and developers.
- Support data migration, modernization, and cloud transformation initiatives.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices for data engineering and analytics.
Requirements
- Strong expertise in Advanced SQL including query optimization, indexing, partitioning, and performance tuning.
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake Data Warehouse.
- Proficiency in Python for data engineering and automation.
- Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or Looker.
- Strong understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data integration.
- Experience working with relational and dimensional data models.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with version control tools such as Git.
Database Skills
- Database design and administration.
- Data modeling and schema design.
- Backup and recovery management.
- Database security and access control.
- Performance monitoring and tuning., * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in SQL Development, Data Engineering, or BI Development.
- Snowflake certification is a plus.
- Experience with data orchestration tools such as Airflow, Azure Data Factory, or Informatica.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
