Job description

Redhorse is hiring a Full Stack Developer with an active TS/SCI clearance to join our growing team making an operational impact with ISR data in the Defense Intelligence Enterprise. The developer will interface with the client, stakeholders, military personnel, and data providers to ensure that the ISR Analysis Team within the OUSD(I&S) has maximal buy-in for its activities and can identify and collect the data it needs. Additionally, this high-performing contractor will also maintain and develop the client’s rapidly expanding tool for ISR data aggregation, linking, and analysis. The ideal candidate will provide support in the areas of application development, automated extract/transform/load operations, database operations, front-end & back-end design, and data visualization. The individual will compose solutions that rapidly deliver functionality to enrich and visualize vast amounts of structured and unstructured data from various sources and formats. Requirements

  • Active TOP SECRET (TS) with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access, required. Individuals who do not have an active TS clearance with SCI access will not be considered for this opportunity.
  • Bachelor’ s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or similar technical degree
  • Strong experience programming in Python and other Object-Oriented Languages producing clean, reusable, and modular code.
  • 5+ years of experience with software design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
  • Experience with CentOS or other flavors of Linux, Docker, Ansible, Cron tasks, PuTTy and other software for use on DevSecOps tasks.
  • ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) development, including merging and normalizing related data sources.
  • Experience with asynchronous code running in a queuing system such as a Redis Queue.
  • Experience with legacy web service APIs such as SOAP as well as text-based and web-based data scraping.
  • Ability to troubleshoot application networking, routing, client certificates and errors.
  • Ability to work in a small, innovative and agile team environment, including on government site where availability of advanced development/database tools may be limited.

Desired Experience

  • Experience building new products and services from the ground up.
  • Strong Python experience
  • Experience with building RESTful APIs
  • Experience with NoSQL databases, preferably MongoDB
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of computer networking and information security

The salary range provided for this position represents the anticipated base salary for successful candidates. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, education, certifications, skills, security clearance level, geographic location, market conditions, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may participate in Redhorse’s comprehensive benefits programs and may be eligible for performance-based or other incentive compensation, where applicable.
