Senior Python Developer - Energy Trading London Inside IR35

• Design, develop and maintain modern Back End and Front End applications

• Deliver scalable, secure and reliable software solutions

• Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to solve complex business challenges

• Contribute to architecture and technical design decisions

• Enhance CI/CD pipelines and support continuous delivery practices

• Work closely with cloud, infrastructure and security teams to ensure best-practice solutions, If you’re a strong Python engineer looking to work on business-critical trading systems using modern cloud and web technologies, we’d be keen to hear from you.

• 7+ years’ commercial Python development experience

• Current hands-on Python development within your latest role

• Experience building and consuming REST APIs and/or GraphQL services

• Strong object-oriented programming skills

• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL desirable)

• Experience working in Agile development environments

• Proven ability to troubleshoot and solve complex business problems
• Commodities, energy trading, financial markets, or other Front Office trading environments
• AWS Cloud services

Highly Desirable

AWS experience, particularly:

• S3

• ECS

• AppSync

• React development experience

• Kafka or other messaging technologies
