Forward Deployed Engineer

We are looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to join our partner company!

Our partner is building advanced AI systems that accelerate progress in the physical world, helping transform industries such as aerospace, healthcare, manufacturing, and energy that are still constrained by outdated, manual processes.

They are looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer who thrives at the intersection of engineering, product, and customer collaboration. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with users, understanding complex workflows, translating them into intuitive software, and taking complete ownership from idea to production.

Key Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers to understand their workflows and identify opportunities to build impactful solutions.
• Design, develop, and deploy end-to-end product features, from frontend interfaces to backend services and data models.
• Translate complex real-world processes into intuitive, production-ready software experiences.
• Build modern frontend applications using React, TypeScript, or equivalent technologies.
• Develop backend services and APIs using Python to support scalable business logic and workflows.
• Design and integrate AI-powered capabilities, including LLMs, agents, and model-backed APIs, into customer-facing products.
• Take full ownership of features from customer discovery and technical specification through deployment and iteration.
• Continuously improve user experience, system performance, and product quality while collaborating closely with customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Strong experience building production applications with TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks such as React.
• Experience developing backend services using Python.
• Hands-on experience integrating LLMs, AI agents, or model-backed APIs into production environments.
• Strong product thinking with the ability to understand and simplify complex customer workflows.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence working directly with technical and non-technical customers.
• Ability to work independently in fast-moving environments with evolving requirements and a high level of ownership.

Nice to Have

• Founder or early-stage startup experience.
• Experience in founder fellowship programs such as EF, YC, or Antler.
• Previous experience as a Forward Deployed Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or similar customer-facing engineering role.
• Experience building and launching AI-powered products in production.
• Proven ability to thrive in highly ambiguous, rapidly evolving environments.
