Senior Cloud Engineer (Remote - Europe)Location: Remote (Cyprus, Spain, Portugal, Poland, or Greece)Department: IT / EngineeringEmployment Type: Full-time (B2B contract)About the roleWe’re looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer to join our fully remote engineering team and take ownership of a large-scale cloud platform. In this role, you’ll design, operate, and optimize production infrastructure while driving automation, scalability, reliability, and security across mission-critical environments.You’ll work closely with engineering and product teams, lead infrastructure improvements, and play a key role in shaping cloud architecture and operational best practices.ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and maintain highly available cloud infrastructure primarily on AWS, with Azure as a secondary platform.Operate and optimize production Kubernetes and container orchestration environments.Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform to provision and manage cloud resources.Build automation tools and operational scripts using Bash and Python.Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI, Jenkins, and/or ArgoCD.Lead initiatives to improve platform performance, scalability, resilience, and security.Monitor production systems, troubleshoot complex incidents, and participate in an on-call rotation.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable cloud solutions and improve deployment processes.Evaluate and introduce new cloud technologies and engineering practices that enhance operational efficiency.RequirementsMust have5+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering.Strong hands-on experience with AWS in production environments.Experience managing Kubernetes or Docker Swarm clusters.Advanced scripting skills in Bash and Python.Proven experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.Strong knowledge of CI/CD tooling, including GitLab CI, Jenkins, or ArgoCD.Experience with Ansible or other configuration management tools.Strong troubleshooting skills and experience supporting production infrastructure.Nice to haveExperience with Microsoft Azure.Linux systems administration expertise.Knowledge of cloud security services and best practices.Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, or other database technologies.Exposure to MLOps platforms such as Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker, AWS ParallelCluster, or Kubeflow.What we offerCompetitive fixed salary.Fully remote, long-term employment within Europe.Paid annual leave.Professional development budget for certifications and training.Opportunity to work on cutting-edge cloud and AI-powered products with global impact.Collaborative international engineering culture.Apple equipment provided.
