Job description

We're working with a leading systematic investment team looking to hire a Quantitative Developer / Researcher to join a growing credit and macro business.

Working directly alongside the Portfolio Manager, you'll play a key role in building the technology that underpins the team's research and live trading process. This is a hands-on opportunity at the intersection of software engineering, quantitative research and trading, where you'll take ownership of core infrastructure while helping shape the evolution of the team's research platform. As the platform matures, there is genuine opportunity to contribute to alpha research, signal development and portfolio construction.

Responsibilities

  • Build and enhance the infrastructure supporting research and live trading.
  • Develop distributed compute, venue connectivity and automated reconciliation systems.
  • Improve data quality, monitoring and production performance across the research platform.
  • Collaborate closely with the Portfolio Manager on research tooling and systematic strategy development.
  • Write clean, scalable Python code for production environments.

Requirements

  • 2+ years' experience in software engineering, quantitative development or a similar technical role.
  • Strong Python programming skills, including experience with libraries such as pandas and NumPy.
  • Excellent software engineering fundamentals with a track record of building robust, production-grade systems.
  • Experience with distributed computing, research platforms, venue connectivity or automated data quality tooling is advantageous.
  • Exposure to systematic trading, backtesting frameworks or quantitative research environments is beneficial but not essential.
