Hybrid working

The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

Your Role

  • Deliver scalable, secure, and resilient application solutions that meet client and business objectives.
  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality backend services and reusable components.
  • Contribute to the successful delivery of distributed and service-oriented solutions that enable business agility.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into effective technical outcomes.
  • Participate in solution design discussions, peer reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives to maintain engineering excellence.
  • Ensure applications meet performance, reliability, maintainability, and security expectations.
  • Develop comprehensive automated testing approaches to support quality and reduce delivery risk.
  • Support streamlined software delivery processes and efficient release management practices.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues while driving long-term improvements.
  • Promote continuous learning, knowledge sharing, AI fluency, and the growth of a future-ready engineering capability.

Your Skills

  • Strong experience delivering enterprise application development using Java.
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented design principles, software engineering best practices, and design patterns.
  • Experience developing scalable, secure, and maintainable backend solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of multithreading, concurrency management, exception handling, and application performance optimisation.
  • Experience designing and implementing microservices-based solutions.
  • Expertise in API design, development, integration, and security principles.
  • Experience building resilient and fault-tolerant distributed systems.
  • Strong understanding of software testing practices, including unit and integration testing.
  • Ability to participate effectively in architecture discussions, code reviews, and agile delivery teams.
  • Strong problem-solving, stakeholder collaboration, and communication skills.
  • Awareness of AI-enabled engineering practices and a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
