Job description

Requirements

7+ years of hands-on Java development experience; Java 11, 17, or 21 strongly preferred.
Deep proficiency in the Spring Framework ecosystem, including Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, and Spring Security.
Proven experience designing and building RESTful APIs and microservices architectures at enterprise scale.
Solid grounding in OOP principles, software design patterns, and SOLID design principles.
Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL) including writing complex, optimized SQL queries.
Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools including Docker and Kubernetes.
Proficiency with version control systems such as Git, GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or comparable tooling.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and verbal/written communication skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote or hybrid contract engagement.
Experience with cloud platforms: AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
Familiarity with message broker technologies such as Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ.
Experience with NoSQL databases including MongoDB, Redis, or Amazon DynamoDB.
Knowledge of API gateway tools and service mesh solutions (e.g., Kong, Istio).
Exposure to front-end technologies such as Angular or React is a plus.
Relevant industry certifications, such as Oracle Java SE Certified Professional, AWS Certified Developer, or equivalent.
