DevOps Engineer

You will be working within a close-knit and highly skilled operations team working to deliver a proactive DevOps service to customers. As part of your role, you will work to agreed deadlines, operating multiple customer environments in Azure and AWS with a focus on automation.

Roles and responsibilities…

Working closely with our customer’s operations teams to improve and develop their DevOps.

Create and develop automation.

Configuration and management of code repositories.

Configuration and management of build and release pipelines.

Configuration and management of application infrastructure.

Help define ANS standards for DevOps processes and technologies.

Keep track of time spent on customer’s backlogs.

Point of technical escalation for cloud engineering.

The role also involves upskilling of other teams across the business in DevOps technical skills and practices.

Knowledge of DevOps practices, examples:

Public Cloud - Azure

CI/CD - Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab

Containers - Docker, Kubernetes (AKS)

Scripting - Powershell, Bash, Python, Node.JS Knowledge of application development

Config Management- Ansible, DSC, Chef, Puppet

IaC - Terraform, ARM Templates

Monitoring & Logging - Azure Logs, Application Insights, ELK, Grafana, Logic Monitor
