Network Engineer

Location: Glasgow

Hours: Monday to Friday 9am-5pm.

Salary: up to £55,000 DOE

Role Details

We are currently looking for a seasoned and experienced Senior Network Engineer with in-depth experience across a range of network technologies; the successful candidate will be passionate about technology and eager to develop their skillset.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Providing 3rd line technical support across the IT Infrastructure environment including cloud technologies.
  • Ensuring that all incidents, problems, and requests are progressed and updated through to completion.
  • Design, deploy, and maintain scalable and secure network infrastructure solutions.
  • Configure and troubleshoot network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
  • Perform network capacity planning and optimization to support business growth and performance requirements.
  • Implement and maintain network security measures to protect against unauthorized access, data breaches, and other security threats.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement network policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Monitor network performance and proactively identify and resolve issues to minimize downtime and ensure maximum availability.

Requirements:

  • Microsoft 365 , Azure certification or equivalent
  • Experience with cloud networking technologies
  • Familiarity with security compliance and standards such as GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST, etc.
  • IT Degree advantageous.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience at least 3 of which must be at 3rd Line Support Engineer/Infrastructure & Network level.
  • At least 2 years IT experience within in a contact centre environment.
  • Excellent Microsoft administration skills to include Azure AD, Intune, O365, Entra, Exchange, SharePoint.
  • Excellent experience of infrastructure components like Networking, Server platforms, storage, application structure (2-tier, 3-tier), Identity, Security (Encryption, PKI), load balancing.
  • Experience of administration and troubleshooting within Office 365, Azure, Active Directory, Intune, Entra
  • Experience in working with telephony platforms and networks.
