C++ Developer

Kforce is seeking a C++ Software Developer to support an innovative technology program in San Diego, CA. This role focuses on developing and enhancing software applications across Linux and Android environments, leveraging modern C++ development practices and frameworks including Qt. The ideal candidate will have experience building robust applications, working across multiple platforms, and contributing throughout the software development lifecycle in a collaborative Agile environment., Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications using modern C++ Develop software solutions for Linux and Android operating systems Create and enhance user interfaces using the Qt framework Collaborate with system engineers, architects, and development teams to define technical solutions Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects in complex environments Perform software integration, testing, and validation activities Optimize software performance, scalability, and reliability Participate in code reviews and maintain coding standards and best practices Support software deployment, sustainment, and lifecycle activities Contribute to Agile development processes, sprint planning, and technical discussions

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field 4-8 years of professional software development experience Strong experience developing applications using C++ Experience developing software in Linux environments Experience with Android application or platform development Hands-on experience with Qt and Qt-based application development Familiarity with object-oriented design, multithreading, and software design patterns Experience using Git or other version control systems Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities Ability to work effectively in a collaborative development environment, Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance Experience supporting government, defense, or mission-critical programs Familiarity with embedded systems development Experience with software integration and automated testing Knowledge of networking concepts and distributed systems Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices Desired Technical Skills C++ Linux Android Qt / Qt Creator Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) Multithreading Git Software Testing & Debugging Agile Development CI/CD

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
