Role Overview: Are you a tech enthusiast with a knack for medical devices? As a Medical Integration - Application Engineer, you’ll dive into the world of Ascom solutions, mastering their implementation and integration. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with state-of-the-art technology that directly improves patient outcomes and transforms healthcare systems.

What You’ll Do:

  • Master Ascom Solutions: Quickly become an expert in our solutions, ensuring seamless integration with medical devices and healthcare systems.
  • Leverage Your Technical Skills: Use your deep understanding of the OSI Model to tackle integration challenges and optimize system performance.
  • Collaborate and Innovate: Work closely with healthcare professionals, developers, and R&D teams to customize solutions that enhance patient visibility and clinical workflows.
  • Troubleshoot Like a Pro: Provide top-notch troubleshooting for complex system issues, both on-site and remotely, ensuring smooth and efficient integrations in healthcare environments.
  • Customize and Configure: Tailor solutions to meet client needs, ensuring seamless interaction between medical devices, software, and infrastructure.
  • Ensure Quality: Conduct rigorous testing to ensure our integrated solutions meet industry standards and healthcare-specific protocols.
  • Educate and Document: Create clear technical documentation and provide training on system operation, integration processes, and troubleshooting.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven troubleshooting skills for delivery of complex solutions both on-site and remote.
  • Experience and knowledge of integration methods both in medical device settings and non-medical device settings.
  • Familiarity with healthcare systems (EMR, EHR, PACS) and medical data exchange standards (HL7, DICOM, IHE, etc.).
  • Eagerness and willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Strong understanding and proven experience of Infrastructure/Networking/Security/MDM, with knowledge of the OSI Model and networking principles.
  • Experience with networking protocols (TCP/IP, SNMP, HTTP, etc.) and troubleshooting network connectivity issues.
  • Windows server installation and configuration desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to tackle complex technical challenges.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage non-technical stakeholders.
  • A passion for making a tangible impact in healthcare through technology.
  • Must be able to drive.
  • Must be willing to travel and be able to stay away from home where required.
