Overview

Are you an experienced HIL Test Engineer with a passion for automotive innovation? We’re working with a leading automotive OEM to find a talented engineer (initial 12 month contract) to support cutting-edge steering system development. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to future vehicle technologies in a high-performance environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and run test cases in the Steering System HIL (e.g., DSPACE, XPACK4).
  • Implement existing vehicle test procedures in the HIL setup.
  • Operate and maintain the Steering System HIL rig.
  • Develop analysis methods and metrics to evaluate test results.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to meet test requirements.
  • Characterise and compare steering systems; generate technical reports.
  • Correlate virtual models with HIL and vehicle data.
  • Extensive HIL testing experience (DSPACE, XPACK4 or similar).
  • Strong understanding of vehicle dynamics and mechatronic systems.
  • Proficient in simulation tools (Matlab/Simulink, IPG Carmaker, etc.).
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving expertise (6-Sigma or similar).
  • Familiarity with machine learning techniques is a plus.
  • Agile methodology experience and a collaborative team player.
  • BSc or MSc in Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive, or Data Science.
