Job description

  • Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using Java and open standards (e.g., OpenAPI/Swagger).
  • Build scalable backend services using frameworks such as Spring Boot, Spring MVC, or similar.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define API requirements and specifications.
  • Develop and maintain API documentation using OpenAPI (Swagger) specifications.
  • Ensure APIs are secure, well-tested, and follow best practices in authentication and authorization (OAuth2, JWT, etc.).
  • Optimize application performance and scalability.
  • Integrate APIs with third-party services, microservices, and enterprise systems.
  • Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code following coding standards.
  • Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and debugging to ensure code quality.
  • Participate in CI/CD processes and contribute to deployment pipelines.

Requirements

Requirement/Must Have:

  • Strong proficiency in Java (Java 8 or higher).
  • Hands-on experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring REST, Spring Security).
  • Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices.
  • Familiarity with OpenAPI/Swagger for API design and documentation.
  • Knowledge of JSON, XML, and API data formats.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies., * Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with API gateways (Apigee, Kong, AWS API Gateway, etc.).
  • Familiarity with message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
  • Understanding of database technologies (SQL/NoSQL such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
  • Exposure to performance tuning and monitoring tools.
  • Certification in Java or cloud technologies is a plus.
