Job description
Under direction of the Global South Center Director, the new hire will focus on data analysis, research implementation, and project coordination across multiple funded research initiatives. The analyst will support research within the global automotive transition sector, with a particular focus on electric vehicles, battery supply chains, and the market and policy forces shaping the sector. Under general direction, the analyst will contribute to the design, execution, and reporting of research activities, working collaboratively with researchers, staff, and students. The role emphasizes applying established research methods, managing datasets, and producing high-quality analytical outputs to inform project outcomes and stakeholder engagement., * 70% - Research and Analysis
- 20% - Reporting and Dissemination
- 10% - Collaboration and Project Support, Work occasional evenings and weekends including overnight travel to conduct researchaccording to schedules or meet deadlines.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications - For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and/or certification if required of the position
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, energy, transportation, or a closely related field
- Minimum one year of relevant professional or research experience with working with large EV and supply chain data sets, assessing market trends in different geographies, supply chain mapping, and working with advanced softwares like Python and R> (internships and thesis research are welcome).
- Demonstrated experience in quantitative data analysis, including working skills in visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Python libraries, R, Excel or similar.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information clearly and concisely.
- Working skills in analysis and consultation.
- Knowledge of EV and battery supply chains, including raw materials, manufacturing, and logistics considerations
