Job description

Insight Global is seeking a Senior React Software Engineer for a top digital e-commerce client. This candidate will join a highly collaborative product engineering team responsible for developing and enhancing a large-scale consumer web platform used by millions of users. The engineer will leverage modern technologies including React, Next.js, TypeScript, Redux Toolkit, and React Query to build high-performance, accessible, and scalable web experiences. Responsibilities include developing new customer-facing features, integrating with backend APIs and authentication systems, implementing content management solutions through AEM Headless, and collaborating closely with product, design, and engineering stakeholders. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior-level developer passionate about modern web development, performance optimization, accessibility, and delivering impactful digital experiences at scale. This is a 6-month ongoing contract.

Requirements

5-8 years of professional software engineering experience
Strong experience building production web applications with React and TypeScript
Deep understanding of React fundamentals including Hooks, Context, component lifecycle, and performance optimization
Hands-on experience with Next.js (App Router preferred) and server-side rendering patterns
Experience with Redux Toolkit and React Query
Experience integrating RESTful APIs
Experience with token-based authentication flows
Frontend testing experience using Jest and React Testing Library
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
Experience with GitHub Actions and/or Azure DevOps
Strong understanding of SEO, Core Web Vitals, and web performance optimization
Experience writing clean, maintainable, well-tested TypeScript code
eCommerce Experience
Worked on platforms where you add to cart & checkout * Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Headless CMS experience
LaunchDarkly or other feature flag platforms
Sentry, Adobe Experience Platform, Quantum Metric, or similar analytics/monitoring tools
GraphQL experience
WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility experience
Internationalization (i18n) experience
Privacy and consent management platforms such as OneTrust
Experience mentoring junior developers
Experience leading code reviews
