Job description

An opportunity has arisen for a Firmware Engineer based in Reading, Berkshire to join an exciting start-up specialising in propulsion systems.

The main purpose of the Firmware Engineer role is to own the embedded software platform within the propulsion system. You will work closely with Motor Design and Electronic Engineering teams to ensure products are designed to world leading standards.

Key experiences and competencies

  • STM32 microcontroller experience, embedded C/C++
  • Experience taking products from prototype to manufacture
  • Proficiency with communication protocols at the firmware level: CAN, SPI, UART, I²C
  • Direct experience integrating RTOS (FreeRTOS or equivalent)
