Job description

This alternative lender is leading the way in providing business-boosting loans to mid-sized SMEs in the UK.

With a pioneering approach to data gathering and analysis, they now need to hire a Data Analyst for a role based in their London office, with 2 days/week working from home.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop a strong grasp of the various analytics datasets across the business, from portfolio monitoring to credit underwriting, business development to marketing.
  2. Design and build analytical tools for these different datasets.
  3. Propose and develop ongoing enhancements.
  4. Challenge and improve current processes.

Qualifications:

The right candidate will have:

  1. Solid commercial experience in SQL or Python and ideally both.
  2. A keen sense of curiosity.
  3. Data quality experience.
  4. Experience developing analytical tools and insights.

It would be nice if you also have:

  1. Solid commercial experience in financial services data, ideally credit data.
  2. Experience of Gen AI, eg for use in anomaly detection, and LLMs.
