Job description

Your Role

This role focuses on building the execution layer for autonomous network operations. The Automation & Platform Engineer will design, implement, and operate automation workflows, orchestration pipelines, intent-to-configuration processes, platform services, API gateways, and cloud-native infrastructure required to execute autonomous network actions safely and reliably.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement automation workflows for autonomous network use cases.
  • Build intent-to-configuration pipelines that translate validated intents into network actions.
  • Develop reusable automation playbooks, templates, modules, and orchestration workflows.
  • Implement automation using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Python, Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Support integration with vendor EMS/NMS, SDN controllers, cloud platforms, OSS, inventory, assurance, and orchestration systems.
  • Build secure API-based execution frameworks using REST APIs, TMF Open APIs, NETCONF/RESTCONF, gRPC, Graph APIs, and vendor-specific APIs.
  • Implement execution guardrails including policy validation, approval gates, rollback mechanisms, dry-run checks, and audit logging.
  • Develop platform capabilities for AI/LLM-driven agents to safely trigger network actions.
  • Support deployment and operation of AI platforms such as Vertex AI or similar.
  • Integrate with vector databases, graph APIs, data pipelines, MCP servers, and automation backends.
  • Support Kubernetes-based deployment of automation services, agent services, APIs, and microservices.
  • Implement infrastructure-as-code for platform environments and network automation resources.
  • Ensure automation platforms meet security, compliance, availability, observability, and operational resilience requirements.
