Job description

Location: Swansea (Hybrid - 3 days a week onsite)

Role Overview

As a Software Engineer, you will actively contribute to planning and developing features, defining approaches, and delivering both complex and simple solutions across a variety of technologies. You will work in a language-agnostic team, sharing knowledge and learning new skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Write code using test-driven development
  • Deliver within an agile environment
  • Use a range of programming languages, selecting the right tool for the job
  • Work with databases (Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB)
  • Engage with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, and Azure
  • Debug across diverse systems
  • Drive your own self-development and mentor others
  • Champion Clean Architecture, SOLID principles, and code quality

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

  • Experience working directly with customers and users
  • Collaboration within multidisciplinary teams (product, design, technology)
  • Presentation and communication skills
  • Familiarity with agile practices (Scrum, XP, Kanban)
  • Knowledge of architectural and design patterns

Eligibility & Clearance

All successful candidates must be eligible for a Security Clearance (SC). Eligibility requires 5 years of UK residency and 5 years of employment (or full-time education).
