Software Engineer (Salesforce)

• Strong, hands-on Salesforce engineering experience.
• Advanced knowledge of Apex, Lightning Web Components, Salesforce Flows and declarative development.
• Experience designing Salesforce integrations using REST/SOAP APIs or MuleSoft.
• Good understanding of Salesforce architecture, data modelling, security, governor limits and platform best practices.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, automated testing and release-management tools such as Copado, Gearset or Azure DevOps.
• Understanding of the end-to-end software development life cycle and Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery models.
• Experience within financial services, asset management or another regulated environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• A collaborative, pragmatic approach with a focus on engineering quality, ownership and continuous improvement.

Certifications

• Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I is required.
• Platform Developer II is strongly preferred.
• Salesforce Administrator certification is expected.

Robert Walters is seeking an experienced Salesforce Software Engineer to join our Workforce Consultancy on a permanent basis.

As a permanent Robert Walters consultant, you will work on assignment with one of our blue chip clients. We partner with more than 50 leading organisations across the UK, predominantly within financial services and insurance, as well as several other industries.

This opportunity will see you support the Asset Management Platform of a leading global investment manager. You will design, develop and support secure, scalable Salesforce solutions that improve client engagement and enable high-quality, connected data across the organisation. What you’ll do

• Design and develop scalable, secure and maintainable Salesforce solutions.
• Build solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows and declarative configuration.
• Integrate Salesforce with upstream and downstream systems using REST/SOAP APIs or Middleware such as MuleSoft.
• Apply strong engineering standards across code quality, testing, security and technical governance.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and controlled release management.
• Take ownership of development from technical design through to production support.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions and knowledge-sharing.
