Job description

Job Title: Mainframe Consultant (DB2)Duration: long-term contractLocation: Poland / EU-Based RemoteRole Description:We are looking for a Mainframe Consultant (DB2) for z/OS DBA to design, implement, and support enterprise Db2 environments, ensuring high availability, security, performance, and compliance with SLA and organizational standards.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide senior-level Db2 for z/OS production support , troubleshooting, and performance management.Design and implement physical database solutions based on business requirements.Manage database releases, changes, QA, and production deployments.Support Db2 V13 for z/OS environments.Perform SMP/E installation, maintenance, upgrades, and software deployment activities.Implement RACF/ACF2 security and Db2 access controls .Build and maintain high-availability and replication solutions.Support data migration and conversion activities.Identify and implement automation opportunities to improve operational efficiency.Work closely with application, infrastructure, and security teams.Ensure compliance with policies, standards, and best practices.Required SkillsStrong hands-on experience as a Db2 for z/OS DBA .Strong experience with Db2 V13 for z/OS .Hands-on experience with SMP/E for installation, maintenance, and upgrades.Solid IBM Z/Mainframe database experience.Experience with RACF/ACF2, security, HA, replication, and production support .Strong database troubleshooting and problem-determination skills.Experience with database release management and migrations.Banking/Financial Services experience is desirable.

Requirements

Solid IBM Z/Mainframe database experience. Experience with RACF/ACF2, security, HA, replication, and production support . Strong database troubleshooting and problem-determination skills.
