Job description
This is a great job for someone who has experience in change risk management, particularly within large-scale policy migrations or transformation programmes, and is looking to play a key role in managing technology and data change risk. This role would suit someone with a solid understanding of technology risk frameworks, regulatory requirements, and customer and conduct risk considerations. You’ll be confident providing independent challenge, influencing stakeholders, and partnering with business and change teams to support the successful delivery of complex change initiatives.
A bit about the job:
This role is key to our business as you will support the delivery of 2nd line risk oversight and challenge working within the Insurance, Wealth and Retirement (IWR) business, you’ll partner with the programme team to embed strong risk disciplines, provide effective and independent second-line challenge, and help shape a positive risk culture throughout a fast-moving and highly complex change environment ensuring Aviva continues to deliver great outcomes for its customers, providing forward looking insights that help keep our programme to its critical pathway.
You will also support the business in the effective assessment and, where required, remediation of their change risks and associated key controls and control initiatives (inc. deep dives & control testing) as required, while ensuring delivery to the Aviva Change Framework standards.
Requirements
- Experience and knowledge of change processes, controls, and risks (e.g., Transformation or Modernization experience) with a consistent record of successful implementation and oversight of technology-related initiatives.
- Informed knowledge of industry risk management frameworks and regulatory requirements, such as COBIT, ISO 27001, ITIL and NIST Cybersecurity Framework
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and articulate technology risks and their potential impacts on the program and the organisation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and build relationships with various stakeholders. Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams to drive risk management initiatives and promote a strong risk culture within the program.
- Ability to work within light touch supervision and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects and tasks.
