Job description

Design and implement modern test automation frameworks for APIs, microservices, and front-end applications
Embed test automation in CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions
Write maintainable, readable tests in languages such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript/TypeScript
Collaborate with client and Deloitte teams to define the right approach to quality across projects
Analyse failures, identify root causes, and improve test reliability
Mentor others and contribute to Deloittes internal tools, accelerators, and communities of practice
Work closely with developers, DevOps engineers, and business analysts to design, implement, and scale test automation

Requirements

UK Developed Vetting (DV) clearance
Strong coding skills in at least one of: Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript
Experience building or extending automation frameworks for API, web, or mobile testing
Familiarity with testing frameworks and tools such as Selenium, RestAssured, Appium, Cucumber, or Playwright
Experience with source control such as Git
Experience working in agile teams using tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps
Collaborative mindset and strong communication skills
Practical knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
Understanding of microservice and container-based architectures
Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
Contributions to open-source projects or developer communities
Knowledge of performance, security, or accessibility testing
Exposure to infrastructure-as-code or container orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, or Terraform
