Job description

Help design and build a modern cloud-native platform from the ground up using Node.js, TypeScript, React and Microsoft Azure
Take ownership of backend services, APIs, integrations and cloud infrastructure
Contribute to frontend development across the full technology stack
Design scalable APIs and build event-driven integrations
Develop Infrastructure as Code and establish engineering standards, CI/CD pipelines and architecture alongside the CTO
Work in an AI-first engineering environment, using modern AI development tools to accelerate delivery while maintaining code quality, security and technical design

We are a growing financial services business building a brand new product that will transform how financial advisers work. This is a high-impact, greenfield opportunity within a small, experienced engineering team where you will work directly with our CTO, influence technical decisions and see the immediate impact of your work. We offer a salary of up to £95k, strong progression as the company scales, and a flexible working arrangement with home working most of the time and meetings in our Bristol office once or twice a week.

Requirements

Strong full stack development experience with Node.js, TypeScript and React
Experience designing scalable APIs and cloud-native applications
Experience with Microsoft Azure and modern cloud architectures
Experience integrating enterprise systems and building event-driven solutions
Comfortable working with Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines
Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor or Claude
Experience working in collaborative, start-up style environments with high levels of ownership
