Job description
The Installation Technicians report directly to the Production Manager but are responsible to Project Manager and Hardware Lead Technician on a daily activity’s basis. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, performing installation, startup and closeout of jobs, assisting Project Managers, and other tasks as assigned. The Installation Technician is responsible for the installation of IT products in the most efficient and effective manner. All installations must meet the highest quality standards set forth, while assuring a professional and safe working environment., * Delivery of project specific hardware.
- Review equipment list with customer upon delivery.
- Install new PC hardware and remove existing.
- Responsible for the proper connection of equipment.
- Troubleshoots issues with new components.
- Responsible for cable management.
- Research and obtain information on installation specific hardware.
- Meet all installation deadlines.
- Responds to customer service-related issues promptly.
- Responsible for accurate tracking on time sheets, installation tickets, and inventory items for all resources assigned to a job.
- Daily communications with Project Manager on delays, requirements, and general status of jobs.
- Operation of power tools.
- Work is performed to company standards and quality installation techniques are practiced.
- Works with Project Manager to ensure complete closeout and turnover of jobs to the client and service department.
- Full compliance with company and customer safety programs.
- Some out-of-town travel required.
- General warehouse assignments between project deployments will be required. Other duties as required or assigned by company management.
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driver’s License license?, Do you have experience in iOS?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * At least two (2) years of experience in a similar technology field.
- Working knowledge of PC hardware, Windows, and iOS systems.
- Formal education in Electronics or related field preferred.
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- General PC hardware certifications preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean Motor Vehicle Report.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be responsible, self-motivated, self-starter, personable, and well organized.
- Superior customer service skills to deal with both internal and external customers.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal skills: ability to work with diverse groups.
- Proficiency in the use of personal computers including such programs as MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to demonstrate planning, organizing, and implementing skills which allow the successful completion of a project by a specific due date.
- Must be able to effectively handle stressful situations.
- Must be able to read and effectively interpret general business documentation.
