Job description

We are seeking a highly experienced DevOps Principal Consultant with deep expertise in the Atlassian ecosystem (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo). The ideal candidate will serve as a Jira Architect and Atlassian Subject Matter Expert (SME), responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing Atlassian solutions that enable enterprise-scale DevOps practices., * Jira Architecture & Administration

  • Design and implement Jira solutions for enterprise-scale projects.
  • Configure workflows, schemes, permissions, and automation rules.
  • Lead Jira migrations (Server/Data Center Cloud).
  • Integrate Jira with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools.

Atlassian Ecosystem Management

Architect and administer Confluence spaces for collaboration.

Manage Bitbucket repositories, branching strategies, and governance.

Implement Bamboo CI/CD pipelines and integrate with Jira.

Evaluate and deploy Atlassian Marketplace apps (ScriptRunner, Tempo, Zephyr, etc.).

DevOps Enablement

Design and implement DevOps pipelines leveraging Atlassian tools.

Automate builds, deployments, and monitoring.

Ensure governance, compliance, and security guardrails.

Drive Agile/Scrum adoption using Jira and Confluence.

Consulting & Leadership

Act as a trusted advisor to clients on Atlassian best practices.

Lead migration, consolidation, and optimization projects.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of IT/DevOps experience, with at least 5+ years in Atlassian tools.
  • Deep expertise in Jira architecture (projects, workflows, governance).
  • Strong knowledge of Atlassian Cloud vs Data Center differences.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Bamboo, Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
  • Experience with DevSecOps integrations (SonarQube, Veracode, Rapid7).
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation (REST APIs, Python, Groovy, Shell).
  • Strong consulting skills: communication, stakeholder management, solution design.

Preferred Certifications

Atlassian Certified Jira Administrator / Jira Project Administrator.

Atlassian Certified Expert.

DevOps or Agile-related certifications (Scrum Master, SAFe, etc.).

Soft Skills

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to lead projects and work independently.
  • Client-facing consulting experience.
