Job description
You will be the System Integration and Test Engineer for the Mission Systems Integration Labs (MSIL) team, which is responsible for providing operational technical support focusing on activities within the F-35 Integration Labs supporting up to a 24/7 test schedule.
What You Will Be Doing
As the System Integration and Test Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations, maintenance, configuration management, and support of systems test/simulation host computers, projection and display systems, cockpit hardware, electronic interfaces, and mechanical assemblies.
Responsibilities
- System integration/checkout/test and modifications
- Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
- Visual display systems color tuning and alignment
- Network connectivity support and system/facility security duties
- Partner with other engineers, customers, and vendors as a team to efficiently support system integration, scheduled events, maintain equipment, support configuration management, and comply with applicable security policies and procedures, Plans, implements, tests, documents, and maintains solutions for the integration and testing of in-house developed and COTS/GOTS components, elements, subsystems and/or systems. Synthesizes customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints. Establishes functional and technical specifications and standards, solves hardware/software interface problems, defines input/output parameters, and ensures integration of the entire system or subsystem. Reviews, evaluates and derives requirements for testability, develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for complete systems and/or subsystems. Coordinates subsystem and/or system testing activities with programs and other organizations. Performs analysis of test results and prepares comprehensive subsystem and/or system level evaluation reports which verify and validate system performance. Writes discrepancy reports and performs integration regression testing to verify/validate incorporated fixes to software, components, subsystems and systems.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will be a collaborative and detail-oriented individual with experience in system integration, test, and troubleshooting. You will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with other engineers, customers, and vendors. If you are a motivated and organized individual who is passionate about working on complex systems and contributing to the success of our team, we encourage you to apply., * Bachelors degree in STEM discipline or 2+ years equivalent experience with combined education.
- Must possess an active US DoD SECRET clearance.
Desired Skills
- Experience in design, implementation, testing and troubleshooting of networks, Ethernet, fiber optics, and high speed buses.
- Knowledge of Windows and Linux based lab development and support systems.
- Experience in development and maintenance of simulation based systems and labs.
- Experience installing and maintaining F-35 Avionics and Mission Systems hardware.
- Experience working in a fast paced environment with demonstrated results.
- Able to provide 2nd shift and weekend support as required.
- Possesses active F-35 project clearances.

Full-Time Salary Range: $70500.00 - $130900.00

- For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
