Job description

Design and develop scripts, programs and applications using Java and/or Oracle tools such as PL/SQL and SQL*Plus, to meet the needs of users in support of the University’s mission.
Analyze system functions; lead or facilitate development of programming specifications.
Provide reporting, data extraction, general processing, and analytical support to departments.
Be able to, with guidance, self-manage workload prioritizations while maintaining positive momentum across multiple tasks/assignments.
May serve as a project leader or be assigned to the more complex projects.
Setup, configure, and maintain Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions, ensuring seamless and secure authentication for faculty, staff, and students across multiple platforms.
Manage, deploy, and integrate cloud-based applications and services.
Develop and maintain documentation as required.
Assist Database administrator in maintenance of related systems.
Perform related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a technology-related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Superior verbal and written skills, encompassing complete understanding of the English Language.

Preferred Qualifications:

Six years’ experience with hands-on applications development and relational database experience.

Demonstrated knowledge of Oracle databases, Linux and Windows environments.

Experience with one or more of the following languages, frameworks, technologies: Java/JavaScript, Oracle PL/SQL, HTML, Git, ProC, Argos, Perl, XML.

Experience with Ellucian Banner Systems.
