Job description

As a Senior Data Engineer (PostgreSQL development), you will be developing and maintaining databases, aggregation pipelines and extensions for public API directly used by our clients and our internal products. This is a highly scalable product! The API is querying and serving ~5m/req/day from databases distributed over 182 servers. You will be working in a cross-functional team focusing on offering a fast and customer focused experience to our clients.

Empower Your Potential/ Responsibilities:

Improve and optimize our architecture and suggest improvements to current processes and structures
Willingness to research and propose cutting edge solution to provide better customer experience
Maintain and expand our database management tools
PostgreSQL maintenance on a very high transaction rate
PostgreSQL custom extensions building and maintaining (C, SQL, PL/pgsql)
Maintain and develop data pipelines (C, Go, Ruby, SQL, PL/pgsql)
Database query development and optimization

Requirements

Proven track record as a Data Engineer for high transactional PostgreSQL databases
Knowledge or willingness to learn Go/Python
Knowledge of any Infra management tools (preferably Ansible)
Knowledge of version control system (git)
Knowledge of observability tools
Familiarity with C is a plus
Solid research skills
