Job description

We are seeking an experienced Finastra Payments Platform Technical Architect with strong expertise in global payments, payment processing, and enterprise banking architecture. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of Finastra payment platforms, payment hubs, cross-border payments, real-time payments, ISO 20022, SWIFT, and modern integration architectures.

This role will lead solution architecture, platform modernization, integrations, and implementation initiatives across complex enterprise payment ecosystems., * Own end-to-end technical architecture for Finastra payments platform implementations, upgrades, migrations, and integrations.

  • Design solutions for global payments including high-value payments, cross-border payments, RTP, ACH, wire transfers, SWIFT, and ISO 20022.
  • Architect payment processing flows covering clearing, settlement, exceptions, investigations, liquidity, reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Design integration patterns between payment hubs and core banking, channels, fraud, sanctions screening, treasury, liquidity, and downstream systems.
  • Define architectures using APIs, microservices, Java/Spring, Kafka, IBM MQ/ActiveMQ, and relational databases.
  • Provide architectural guidance for cloud/on-premises deployments, high availability, resiliency, scalability, performance, observability, and security.
  • Review technical designs, interface specifications, data mappings, deployment architectures, and non-functional requirements.
  • Lead modernization, payment hub consolidation, cloud migration, regulatory, and ISO 20022 initiatives.
  • Collaborate with business, product, technology, infrastructure, security, operations, and vendor teams.
  • Identify technical risks, dependencies, and design gaps and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Guide development and integration teams on architecture standards, reusable components, and best practices.
  • Serve as the senior technical point of contact for clients, delivery teams, and Finastra/vendor teams.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of overall IT experience with strong Banking, Payments, or Financial Services experience.
  • 5+ years of architecture experience in payment platforms, payment hubs, or payments transformation.
  • Strong experience with Finastra payments solutions, preferably Global PAYplus, PAYplus, Payment Hub, or related products.
  • Deep knowledge of global payment processing, clearing and settlement, payment lifecycle, exceptions, investigations, liquidity, and reconciliation.
  • Strong knowledge of:
  • ISO 20022
  • SWIFT MT/MX
  • Fedwire
  • CHIPS
  • SEPA
  • RTP
  • ACH
  • Wire transfers
  • Cross-border payments
  • Strong technical architecture experience with Java/Spring, APIs, microservices, Kafka, IBM MQ/ActiveMQ, Oracle, and PostgreSQL.
  • Experience designing highly available, secure, scalable, and resilient payment platforms.
  • Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, Kubernetes, cloud deployment, monitoring, and logging.
  • Strong understanding of payment security, encryption, authentication, authorization, key management, audit, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, technical documentation, and leadership skills., * Experience leading Finastra payments implementations for large global banks.
  • Experience with payment modernization, payment hub consolidation, cloud migration, or legacy transformation.
  • Experience with distributed global delivery teams and Finastra/vendor product teams.
  • Knowledge of treasury services, corporate payments, real-time liquidity, embedded payments, and API-based payment initiation.
  • Architecture or cloud certification.
