Job description
Are you ready to work with emerging technologies and make an immediate impact on national security? As part of our team, you’ll develop, configure, and secure innovative infrastructure solutions for the U.S. Navy and Coast Guard. From modernizing existing ship classes to supporting the development of new vessels, you’ll work hands-on in labs and aboard ships to deliver mission-critical systems in months-not years. This on-site role, with up to 50% travel, is ideal for those who thrive in fast-paced environments and are eager to see their solutions come to life.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master’s degree, plus 6 months of relevant experience., Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required., * Hands-On IT, Systems Engineering & Cybersecurity Work: Configure, secure, and troubleshoot critical systems in the lab and aboard ships.
- Collaborative Problem-Solving: Work with a supportive team to tackle challenges and deliver solutions that matter.
- Leadership & Impact: Lead projects, influence decisions, and contribute directly to mission success.
- Travel and Adventure: Gain real-world experience testing and installing solutions aboard Navy and Coast Guard ships, with up to 50% travel.
What You Bring to the Table:
- IT systems administration experience with Linux or Windows server technologies.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell, BASH, or Ansible.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, vulnerability management, and securing virtual machines (e.g., VMware, Proxmox).
- CompTIA Security+ certification or a willingness to obtain one.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with a solid grasp of systems engineering principles.
