Software Engineer

• You do not just want to work through features, but understand, shape and continuously improve applications as a whole.
• At INSIDE M2M GmbH, you develop sophisticated software solutions for our IoT platform. Your focus is on Angular and TypeScript, while you also work across the flow through backend services with Java and Quarkus through to the devices.
• AI-supported coding tools and coding agents are part of your craft, not hype. You use them confidently, critically evaluate their results and take responsibility for the quality, security and maintainability of your code.
• You develop complex Angular applications with a clean component architecture - from concept to production use.
• You work on the related backend services in Java and Quarkus and help shape the interfaces between frontend and platform.
• You integrate AI-supported coding tools and coding agents firmly into your workflow.
• You contribute to architecture decisions, code reviews and the improvement of our development processes.
• You work closely with your team, our customers and other technical contacts.

• Several years of practical experience in professional software development.
• Strong practical experience with Angular and TypeScript as well as good to very good knowledge of Java and Quarkus in the backend.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, databases and ORM.
• Experience with automated tests, including E2E testing.
• Proven practice with AI coding workflows, e.g. with Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot or comparable tools. You can explain which prompts, setups and guardrails work for you and where the limits are.
• A good sense of software architecture, code quality and maintainable long-term solutions.
• An independent, structured and solution-oriented way of working.
• Very good written and spoken German skills are required for collaboration with the team and customers.
• Good English skills for technical documentation and international tools.
• A plus, but not required: Background in developing or further developing an IoT platform
• Experience with distributed systems, device data, messaging or technical interfaces
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes and cloud-native development
• Familiarity with CI/CD, observability or platform engineering
