Senior Cloud Developer "SURU Connect"

As a Senior Cloud Developer, you will design, build, and operate cloud-native applications that are core to SURU Connect and SURU SignalHub. Working across the full solution lifecycle, you will turn customer and business needs into scalable, secure, and reliable digital products. Using C#, modern .NET, Blazor and AWS, you will take technical ownership while helping shape architecture, engineering practices, and the future direction of SURU´s connected water and IoT platforms., * Design, develop, test, and applications for SURU Connect and SURU SignalHub, including APIs, background services, data-processing pipelines, and modern Blazor web applications

• Design reliable event-driven and distributed solutions on AWS using appropriate managed services, messaging, databases, and Infrastructure as Code. Integrate IoT devices, connectivity providers, external platforms, and customer systems, selecting the technologies and architectural patterns that best fit each use case rather than being tied to a fixed stack
• Work closely with product, business, customers, and external partners to identify valuable use cases and translate them into effective technical solutions. Own solutions from initial concept and architecture through implementation, deployment, monitoring, and production operation
• Continuously improve reliability, scalability, security, observability, performance, and delivery automation. Contribute to architecture discussions, code reviews, technical standards, and knowledge sharing, while using AI-assisted development tools and AI agents extensively for implementation, testing, debugging, documentation, quality assurance, and automated software delivery, * Small, agile teams where your work and voice have real impact

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, including substantial experience with cloud-based or distributed applications

• Strong professional experience with C# and modern .NET, including ASP.NET Core, asynchronous programming, dependency injection, testing, and production-grade development
• Strong practical experience with Blazor and the ability to build maintainable web applications within the.NET ecosystem
• Solid understanding of software architecture, REST APIs, distributed systems, event-driven architectures, asynchronous processing, and messaging-based integrations
• Practical experience designing and operating applications on AWS, including compute, storage, databases, messaging, security, and monitoring
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL, SQL, data modelling, and Entity Framework Core
• Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, containers, automated testing, observability, and production operations
• Ability to work across the full application stack, from backend services and integrations to Blazor-based user interfaces
• Ability to evaluate and adopt new cloud services, frameworks, development tools, and architectural approaches where they provide clear technical or business value
• Strong practical experience with AI-assisted software development and coding agents, including AI-supported quality and delivery workflows
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and technical ownership, with the ability to work proactively with customers, product stakeholders, and other engineering disciplines
• Proficiency in both English and German (German at least B1)

Nice to Have:

• Experience with IoT platforms, smart metering, telemetry ingestion, MQTT, connected devices, or industrial integrations
• Experience designing highly observable and resilient distributed systems
• An AWS certification such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Developer
