Job description

The SEI Wealth Platform is seeking to hire a Product Owner. As a Product Owner, you will primarily focus on executing on the product roadmap. To be successful you will be the subject matter expert for the products you support, and have an understanding of the overall platform in which those products operate. You will act as the primary facilitator among the development teams, the other Product Team leaders, Development Teams, and the user community (clients and operations) in support of their products.

This role is responsible for driving quality by executing hands-on testing, managing data setup, performing rigorous validation, and providing final feature sign-off.

What you will do:

  • Apply detail knowledge of workflows to assist Product Manager in product development.
  • Work with Design team members to analyze and design solutions
  • Work with the Scrum Master and Product Managers to facilitate preparation and readiness for each planning session.
  • Own the Product backlog, development sequencing and roll out plan
  • Work with the Scrum Team during the ART ceremonies by providing story definition and providing clarification as necessary to assist the teams with story estimates, sprint loading, story sequencing and drafting specific objectives for upcoming PSI.
  • Co-ordinates with the Scrum Team and serves as the customer proxy for solution
  • Drive iteration content via prioritized features
  • Coordinates content dependencies with other Product Owners, and acts as the main source for feature detail and priorities.
  • Responsible to accept the final feature delivery plan
  • Participate in Design review and test strategy review sessions
  • Instrumental in producing an aggregated, system/product demo for key program stakeholders.
  • Work with the Product Manager to define a plan for getting to actionable ability for those features not yet actionable
  • Work with Scrum master to identify features that are actionable
  • Work with Product Management and EPIC Owner to help assure strategy and execution alignment
  • Encourage Communities of Practice around SAFe by participating in the Product Owner Community of Practice forums
  • Assist Product Manager in the identification and resolution of functional business or technical spikes
  • Work with Solution Architect to identify and resolve areas requiring upfront design prior to PSI Release Planning
  • Support User Acceptance Testing Process

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business or an equivalent in work experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in an Agile environment, including experience as a Business Analyst, Project Manager, System Analyst, etc.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to organize and prioritize tasks to ensure timely delivery of the Sprints/PSI’s.
  • Experience with Agile and Iterative development methodologies.
  • Experience with software development management/tracking tools (i.e. Jira, Microsoft TFS, Rally, etc.).
  • Experience within Financial Services industry including banking, wealth management, investment management, asset data and investment processing is preferred.
