Job description
Leidos’ Chief Information Office (CIO), reporting through the Digital sector, is seeking a highly motivated Systems Administrator to join the Network Information Center (NIC) within our Data Center Network Solutions (DCNS).
The NIC is a small team that owns critical enterprise services including Enterprise DNS, IP Address Management (IPAM), F5 Load Balancing, enterprise UPS management, carrier circuit lifecycle management, and supporting platforms that enable secure, reliable connectivity across the company. This role supports more than 4,000 network-connected infrastructure devices and over 750 WAN circuits while partnering closely with Network Operations, Network Engineering, Cybersecurity, Enterprise Applications, Authentication Engineering, Access Engineering, Risk Management, and external vendors. The ideal candidate is a technically curious, detail-oriented professional with strong troubleshooting skills, an ownership mindset, and the ability to support mission-critical enterprise infrastructure while collaborating across multiple engineering and operations teams., * Configure, deploy, maintain, and monitor enterprise infrastructure devices
- Administer Enterprise DNS, IPAM, DHCP reservations, IP allocation, subnet management, DNS forwarding, and namespace administration.
- Support F5 BIG-IP, pools, SSL certificates, VIP lifecycle management.
- Design, deploy, monitor, and maintain enterprise UPS solutions including firmware, monitoring, capacity planning, vulnerability remediation, and BOM development.
- Manage lifecycle of WAN circuits including MPLS, Metro Ethernet, DIA, Broadband, DSL, T1, DS3, and related carrier technologies.
- Troubleshoot enterprise LAN/WAN issues.
- Deploy production network changes using Python/PowerShell automations.
- Develop SOPs, improve operational processes, support automation initiatives, and maintain operational documentation.
- Work closely with the Corporate NOC, Network Engineering, Access Engineering, Network Security, Authentication Engineering, Enterprise Applications, Risk Management, business units, telecommunications carriers, and vendors.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field coupled with 2 years of relevant experience; equivalent relevant experience and/or industry certifications (CCNA, F5, Network+, etc.) may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Experience administering enterprise networking environments.
- Experience supporting Cisco routing and switching.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, routing, switching, VLANs, ACLs
- Experience managing WAN carrier circuits.
- Experience with enterprise monitoring and syslog.
- Experience in data center environments with structured cabling and power
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications /Experience:
Hours: Able to support Pacific Time zone hours.
Technology & Certs: F5 BIG-IP, BlueCat IPAM, Cisco IOS/IOS-XE, Digi Console Servers, CyberPower, APC, Aruba EdgeConnect, Riverbed, Aruba Wireless, SolarWinds, Splunk, Python/PowerShell automation, ITIL, and relevant certifications such as CCNA, F5, or Network+.
