Job description

We are seeking a Junior-to-Mid Level Databricks Full Stack Developer / Software Engineer with a strong focus on backend development, APIs, AWS, and large-scale data environments. The ideal candidate will primarily develop in Python and work with cloud-based data platforms such as Databricks, while contributing to the broader application stack as needed., * Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services and APIs, primarily using Python.

  • Develop and integrate APIs across AWS, Databricks, databases, and other systems.
  • Support applications and data environments involving large-scale datasets, including terabyte- and petabyte-scale environments.
  • Develop and support multi-tenant applications, with consideration for scalability, security, and data isolation.
  • Design and support event-driven systems, including asynchronous processing, messaging, and event-based workflows.
  • Work with Databricks, Snowflake, or similar cloud data platforms.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize application, API, data, and cloud performance.
  • Contribute to front-end development using JavaScript/TypeScript and ReactJS as needed.
  • Participate in Agile development, code reviews, testing, documentation, and CI/CD practices.
  • Leverage AI-assisted development tools, particularly GitHub Copilot, to improve development productivity and code quality.

  • Experience working with large volumes of data; petabyte-scale experience highly desirable
  • Experience with multi-tenant solutions
  • Experience with event-driven systems and architectures
  • Experience with GitHub Copilot or similar AI development tools
  • JavaScript/TypeScript and ReactJS - a plus, * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience. Additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • 4+ years of software development experience or equivalent demonstrated technical experience.
  • Must have 3+ years of Databricks experience to be considered
  • Hands-on experience with Python, APIs, and cloud-based applications or data environments.
  • Experience working with large or complex datasets.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Experience working in an Agile software development environment.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance
  • Be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Person who has lived in the United States for the past three consecutive years.
  • All candidates supporting the CMS programs must have lived in the United States at least three (3) out of the last five (5) years prior in order to be considered., * Production experience with AWS and Databricks.
  • Experience with petabyte-scale data, multi-tenant architectures, and event-driven applications.
  • Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and ReactJS.
  • Experience with Docker, Git, CI/CD, automated testing, and application monitoring.
