$3,005.92 to $3,306.51 bi-weekly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Government Center/Viera. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Responsible for working on software development projects designed to meet the specific needs of multiple departments. Performs skilled professional application analysis and development, including analyzing user specifications and requirements. Work includes coding, testing, debugging, and documenting programs. Additionally, provides support for applications requiring integration with Geographic Information Systems (GIS).

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a closely related field PLUS three (3) to five (5) years of experience in software development OR a Bachelor’s degree in a relative computer related field PLUS two (2) years of experience as a Brevard County Senior Systems Analyst PLUS a current performance evaluation score of 4.0 or higher PLUS successful completion of all of the classes for Phase I of the Brevard County Employee Development Program and receive a passing score on the phase examination. Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis. Technical Skills: Object Oriented Programming in C#, Basic familiarity with GIS concepts, JavaScript, Exposure to spatial data integration, Angular/Typescript, Python for basic task automation, SQL Server (Views, Stored Procs, T-SQL). Preferred Qualifications: Visual Studio, ArcGIS API or basic spatial queries, Team Foundation Server (TFS), ArcGIS Online & Enterprise, .NET 6/7/8+, ArcGIS Model Builder, ArcGIS Arcade. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster which may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
