Job description
- System Architecture: Design, develop, and deploy robust, scalable, and microservices-based backend systems using Java and Spring Boot.
- Data Processing: Architect and optimize large-scale, distributed data processing pipelines using Apache Spark.
- Database Management: Write complex SQL/NoSQL queries and optimize database performance for high-throughput applications.
- API Development: Design and implement secure, well-documented RESTful APIs.
- Mentorship & Code Quality: Lead code reviews, enforce best practices, and mentor junior and mid-level developers.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with frontend teams, product managers, and DevOps to deliver seamless end-to-end features.
Requirements
- The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of enterprise Java development experience, a strong background in big data processing using Apache Spark, and a passion for engineering excellence. While this is primarily a backend role, knowledge of Angular UI is a plus., * Experience: 7+ years of professional software development experience primarily focused on backend engineering.
- Core Java: Deep expertise in Java (Java 8/11/17+), including multithreading, concurrency, memory management, and design patterns.
- Frameworks: Extensive experience with Spring Ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring Data).
- Big Data Frameworks: Proven track record of building and tuning production-grade data pipelines using Apache Spark (Core, SQL, or Streaming).
- Databases: Strong knowledge of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL solutions (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
- Tools & DevOps: Proficiency with Git, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, or GitHub Actions), Maven/Gradle, and Docker.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Frontend Knowledge: Familiarity or hands-on experience with Angular (TypeScript, RxJS, state management), enabling smooth full-stack collaboration.
- Cloud Platforms: Experience deploying and managing applications on cloud environments (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure).
- Container Orchestration: Knowledge of Kubernetes
