Job description

We are looking for an experienced Android Developer with strong banking/financial services domain experience to develop, enhance, and maintain secure, scalable mobile banking applications. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on Android coding experience and a solid understanding of banking applications, transactions, payments, and financial services., * Design, develop, test, and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin and/or Java.

  • Develop secure and scalable mobile applications for banking and financial services.
  • Implement Android UI components, application workflows, APIs, and backend integrations.
  • Integrate REST APIs, JSON, SDKs, and third-party services into Android applications.
  • Work with banking features such as account management, transactions, payments, fund transfers, authentication, and notifications.
  • Follow secure coding practices for applications handling financial and customer-sensitive data.
  • Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, backend developers, QA engineers, and architects.
  • Perform debugging, troubleshooting, unit testing, and performance optimization.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
  • Ensure applications meet organizational security, quality, and compliance standards.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and support application releases through the complete SDLC.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience in Android application development.
  • Excellent knowledge of Kotlin and/or Java.
  • Strong understanding of Android SDK, Android Studio, Jetpack, and Android architecture.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, HTTP, Retrofit/OkHttp or similar technologies.
  • Experience with MVVM/MVI/Clean Architecture and modern Android development.
  • Strong understanding of Git, CI/CD, unit testing, and debugging.
  • Experience developing mobile applications in the Banking/Financial Services domain.
  • Understanding of banking processes such as:
  • Retail Banking
  • Digital Banking
  • Payments
  • Fund Transfers
  • Account Management
  • Cards/Credit Cards
  • Authentication & Authorization
  • Transaction Processing
  • Strong understanding of mobile application security and protection of sensitive financial/customer information.
