Job description

Medix is currently seeking a Clinical Systems Analyst who has in-depth experience implementing / supporting Sleep and Neurology monitoring applications: Natus Neuroworks / NWB and Nihon-Kohden PolySmith. This is for a long-term opportunity with one of our healthcare clients - a large, non-for-profit health system encompassing 50+ hospitals.

Our client has grown significantly through M&A activity. This role will be joining a Specialty / Ancillary Applications team to support upgrades and standardization, break-fix and patching for all Sleep & Neuro applications including, but not limited to, Natus, Neuroworks / NWB, SleepWorks, Embla, and Nihon-Kohden Polysmith.

The ideal candidate will have worked with a blend of 3rd party specialty / Ancillary Clinical Applications (non EHR, non-Imaging). The position requires strong Project Management skill, with a Clinical / IT background to navigate the diverse portfolio of applications. Strong vendor partnership and internal coordination within IT teams will be required

DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working in a team environment to manage the operations, break/fix, upgrade, patching, and support for number of clinical applications used across sleep and neurology departments in the health system (50+ hospitals)
  • Assigned Ancillary Applications will include Sleep and Neuro Monitoring applications - covering Natus Neuroworks, NWB, SleepWorks, Nihon Kohden, NK Polysmith, etc
  • Primary responsibilities will be independently managing the lifecycle for the assigned Sleep & Neuro application systems.
  • Coordinating with vendors and ensuring timelines are being met / adhered to
  • Coordinating installations / change windows
  • Break/fix and supporting the back-end server changes.
  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation, including user guides, troubleshooting procedures, and FAQs, to assist users in resolving common issues
  • Testing / Validating changes work before rolling out to production
  • Providing clear and concise updates on project status
  • This role involves significant interaction and coordination with Clinical Vendors, clinical staff and IT Engineers for successful implementation, upgrade and go-live activities.
  • This role will also communicate with internal customers to understand their specific needs and challenges in utilizing these clinical applications - and be the liaison between clinical users and vendors

Requirements

  • Required 5+ years of professional experience in a Hospital setting
  • Hands-on experience supporting Natus and Nihon Kohden back-end applications
  • Natus Neuroworks / NWB
  • NK Polysmith
  • Strong customer support experience / ticketing ad triage
  • Required knowledge / experience with IT - such as Identity & Access Management, Security Groups, Provisioning, etc
  • Strong analytical troubleshooting abilities
